Jean M. Judd Update.

Greetings All,
The Elk River Area Arts Alliance has announced textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin as one of the artists selected for inclusion in the Arts in Harmony 2012 International Juried Art exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Contaminated Water #1 and Contaminated Water #2: Pond Scum. This is Judd’s fifth time being included in this prestigious exhibition.

Exhibit juror Peter Spooner, Curator of the Tweed Museum of Art at the University of Minnesota – Duluth has selected 161 artworks from a submission pool of 570. The exhibit opens on February 6, 2012 and is open through March 29, 2012. The artist reception and awards presentation is on February 12, 2012 from 1 to 3:30pm. The address for the exhibition is:

The SAQA artists of the month are Virginia Spiegel (left) and Clairan Ferrono (right) are currently featured on the SAQA website: http://www.saqa.com/hotnews.php?ID=267 Clairan is also hosting an Open Studio, 5432 Dorchester, Sunday 4 Dec 2-5 pm.

Trish Williams piece titled "Jubilation" is a part of the SAQA online exhibit "Always Women" curated by Virginia A. Spiegel who writes,
"The more I read, the more I realize there are universal experiences women share through the ages. It seems as though we do more than our fair share of waiting, but we're also always busy making a living, making friends, making a family, making peace with ourselves and our bodies, fighting our vices, embracing our pleasures, as well as experiencing great joys and great sadness. These artworks represent a small slice of our lives as women".
