FAC show Mid-West Meditations at Bloomingdale Park District Museum

My husband Brett and I hung the new FAC show at the Bloomingdale Park District  Museum in Bloomingdale IL. It was so great having him there to help me. He is so logical and practical. We measured and leveled and had the show up in 2 1/2 hours. Then we went out for sea food. Perfect afternoon with my husband. A little art, a little food, a little fun.

The show opening is September 19th from 2-4, I hope you can stop by, there will be wine and cheese, great art and fun conversation.

  1. Looks like it'll be a great exhibition, Frieda. Does the museum have portable walls? Some do and some don't.

Just my personal preference, but I like the movable walls better than hanging quilts in the middle of rooms unless there is also media in the show that can sit on pedestals under the suspended art so that people don't run into the hanging pieces.

I've had the experience were a viewer backed up to view a piece, got tangled up in the hanging piece and spilt their drink at an opening. Unfortunately this meant a quick cleanup and some cleaning of one of the artworks as well.

We make due with what we have to work with in venues, don't we?

    Here's too a great opening!
