Happy New Year and here's an update on Jean M. Judd. The
Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA) organization and the Museum of Wisconsin
Art (MOWA) in West Bend, Wisconsin has announced textile artist Jean M.
Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin as one of the artists selected for inclusion
in the Wisconsin Artists Biennial 2014. Artwork selected for inclusion
in the exhibit includes: Rusted Lace #2. The
exhibit will premiere in the new MOWA building which opened in April of
2013. The WVA organization is committed to highlighting artistic
excellence throughout the state since its inception in 1900.
Exhibit
juror Molly Zuckerman-Hartung has selected 54 artworks for inclusion in
this biennial from a submission pool of 262 artists. The exhibit opens
January 17, 2014 and is open through March 2, 2014. Opening reception is
on January 17, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

The opening reception at the Museum of Wisconsin Art was very well attended in spite of the snow and cold. I was thrilled to be awarded the Third Place in Show cash award during the reception. The MOWA is a wonderful new modern building with wonderful display galleries and the artwork for the Wisconsin Artists Biennial showed beautifully!
