The
Academy of Fine Arts in Lynchburg, Virginia has announced textile
artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin as one of the artists selected
for inclusion in the 2013 Academy of Fine Arts Annual National Juried
Art Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Contaminated Water #5: Mutated Sand Dollars, Rusted Fish.
Exhibit
juror David Dodge Lewis, Barger-Barclay Professor of Fine Arts at
Hampden-Sydney College, has selected 50 artworks from the 390 artists’
submissions of paintings, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, fiber, glass,
ceramics, wood, metal, and mixed media artworks. The exhibit opens on
April 5, 2013 and is open through April 27, 2013. The artist reception
and awards presentation is on April 5, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm with the
juror’s talk at 5:30pm at the Academy of Fine Arts. The address for the
