The Healing Arts Program at the Hudson Hospital and Clinic in Hudson, Wisconsin has selected textile artist and author Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for a solo exhibition in the Specialties Clinic. Artwork selected for inclusion in the solo exhibit, From Rust to Art includes: Contaminated Water Series, Rusted Lace Series, Flaming Grapes, and Rusted Grapes.

 

The exhibition opens on May 20, 2015 and runs through August 16, 2015. The closing reception is on August 14, 2015 from 6 to 8pm. Sponsored by: The Phipps Center for the Arts and Hudson Hospital and Clinics.

Hi, SAQA IL WI Members, It's time for the annual Spring Appeal.    I was able to attend  the SAQA conference, Fiberlandia, in Portland April 30- May 3. There were engaging and inspiring speakers, interesting sessions, a successful auction, new vendor mall and  great camaraderie! It was nice to reconnect with current regional representatives and make new friends. The Rep meeting provided good opportunities for discussion and new ideas for our region.

  Several members of the Deeply Rooted Exhibit Committee were able to meet and continue our plans for this exciting new multi regional juried exhibition premiering in October 2015.

Jean M. Judd - Gateway to Imagination

Greetings All,

Textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin has been juried into the 2015 Gateway to Imagination National Juried Art Competition to be held at the Farmington Museum at Gateway Park in Farmington, New Mexico. Her artwork, Rusted Lace #3 and Rusted Lace #4, are two of the artworks selected for the exhibit. The exhibition will feature 59 artworks selected from a submission pool of 229 artworks.

 

The juror for this exhibition is Dr. Stephanie Taylor, assistant Art Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art History at New Mexico State University.

 

The exhibition opens on May 9, 2015. A juror lecture and question/answer session, artist reception, and awards presentation is on May 9, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm.  The exhibition closes on July 11, 2015. The address of the facility is:

Jean M. Judd - The Art League of Hilton Head

Greetings All,

The Art League of Hilton Head on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina has announced textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin as one of the artists selected for inclusion in the Art League of Hilton Head’s 2015 Biennale National Juried Art Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Stepping Stones.  

 

Exhibit juror Carrie Burns Brown, NWS, noted instructor, water media artist and national juror, has selected 99 artworks from the over 500 artists’ submissions of paintings, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, and mixed media artworks. The exhibit opens on May 8, 2015 and is open through May 31, 2015. The artist reception and juror awards presentation is on May 8, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm at the Walter Greer Gallery.
