The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center in Breckenridge, Texas has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in the Breckenridge 21st Annual Juried Art Show Sale and Competition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Sound Waves #1 (above).
This exhibition was open to artists residing in United States, working in 2 and 3-dimensional art mediums. Well over 200 submissions were received and exhibition juror, John Pototschnik, selected 125 artworks to be included in the exhibit.
The exhibition opens on August 13, 2012 and runs through September 21, 2012. The artist reception and awards presentation is on August 19, 2012 from 2 to 4pm. The address of the art center is:

I love the quilting on this Jean.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Frieda. I really like using that specific wavy design and have used it on a couple of other pieces. It really flows well with hand quilting and is a change from more gridded type of patterns.

It was interesting that my artwork was the only textile juried into the exhibition and also the only abstract piece.
